School Canoeing Expeditions Programme
Combine the beauty of
touring the waters of the Grand River Valley with the
fun of a group canoeing expedition, and you’ve got one great
educational outing for your school.
We can accommodate up to 150 paddlers and up to 75
additional 3rd passengers. School Expeditions
may be booked for any weekday from May 1 to October 31.
Canoeing the Grand provides everything you need for your
trip including canoes, paddles, life jackets.

Last season we provided nearly 4000 trips
with no injuries and only a handful of people
got wet (some quite intentionally, to beat the
heat!). The average depth of the Grand in our
service area is 3 feet deep. So even if you do
somehow tip-a-canoe, just stand-up! We also
provide pre-trip
safety guides and paddling instruction.

SPEAKER
A speaker with a multi-media presentation on
Canoeing the Grand River may be requested along
with an in-person presenter to talk to students and/or
teachers. River and River Valley history and features,
humorous stories for all ages about Canoeing, even a
puppet show, are all available at no charge to help
future paddlers get the most from their experience.
